He is selected as a delegate to speak on "Youth Shaping Sustainable and Innovative Solutions: Reinforcing 2030 Agenda" at the Youth forum of Economic and Social Council to be held at the United Nation's headquarters in New York from 16-18 April 2024

Imagine a bustling university campus, not defined by the hum of lectures, but by the joyful chorus of birdsong. This is the reality at St Aloysius College (deemed to be university) in Mangaluru, India.

For the sixth consecutive year, these green havens transformed into avian observation zones during the annual Campus Bird Count, a citizen science initiative.

Alumnus Vasanth Karthick Bharath of St. Joseph’s College in Tiruchi secured 90 marks in the Audit and Assurance paper of the U.K.-based ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) the highest score in the world . He a final-year B.Com (Honours) student of the college.

Aloysian Youth Icon award held on 11 Jan 2024. 5 young alumni were given the award.

Rev Fr Praveen Martis SJ, Principal, Dr. Alwyn DSa, Registrar, Dr. Denis Fernandes, Director Arrupe Block, and Dr. Ronald Nazareth, RISHII coordinator, participated in the sixth general meeting of the RISHII project held at JNU, New Delhi from December 6 to 8, 2023.

The RISHII project, co-funded by the Erasmus program of the European Union and facilitated by Deusto University Bilbao, Spain, aims to foster International collaboration in higher education.

During the meeting, the strategic Internationalisation plan of St Aloysius College was presented showcasing the institution's commitment to global engagement and academic excellence. This collaborative effort indicates the college's dedication to embrace international perspectives and enriching the academic experience for its students.

Vinay Tonse our illustrious Jesuit alumnus  from St. Joseph College of Commerce Bangalore has been appointed as Managing Director of India’s  largest bank State Bank of India (SBI).

It is very happy and proud moment; our illustrious Jesuit alumnus Prof.R.Narayanaswamy former Professor of Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) who is my class-mate from Pre-university to B.Com from St.Joseph’s College (1976 Batch) has been appointed as the chairman of the high powered Committee constituted by Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to study about – Expected Credit Loss (ECL) frame working for banks. Hearty congratulations to Prof.R.Narayanaswamy
