Inaugural Reunion Celebration of the St. John Berchmans High School Mundli Alumni Association

St. John Berchmans High School Mundli, Jharkhand, September 24th, 2023* - A wave of nostalgia and excitement swept over the alumni of St. John Berchmans High School Mundli as they gathered to celebrate the inaugural reunion of their alumni association. This historic event, hosted at the esteemed St. John Berchmans High School Mundli, was a testament to the enduring bonds forged during their school years and the vision of PCA Rev. Fr. Alban Minj SJ.

The journey to this momentous reunion began on June 23rd, 2023, with a crucial meeting attended by eight passionate alumni members. This gathering was graced by the presence of the Governing Council Member of the Jesuit Alumni Association of India (JAAI) for the Province and a Representative of the JAAI Central Zone. It was during this meeting that the association was officially christened, setting the stage for what would become a memorable reunion.

The support and guidance of the Sahibganj Old Xaverians Association (SOXA) played a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the event. Three SOXA members attended, sharing their wisdom and experience to help plan future activities.

The reunion brought together approximately 20 alumni participants, all eager to reconnect with their alma mater and each other. Engaging discussions unfolded throughout the day, with topics ranging from the appointment of coordinators to strengthening the association and outlining ambitious plans for the future. Under the mentorship of Rev. Fr. Sunit Kullu SJ, the Honorable Principal of the institution, the association is well on its way to achieving legal recognition.

A poignant and symbolic moment of the event was the planting of a sapling by alumni members, signifying not only the growth of the association but also their commitment to environmental sustainability and social responsibility.

As the St. John Berchmans High School Mundli Alumni Association moves forward, its mission remains steadfast: to connect, collaborate, and contribute to the welfare and development of their beloved alma mater. The association extends a warm and open invitation to all alumni of the school to join hands in this noble cause. Together, they will continue to honor their alma mater and create a brighter future for the generations to come.
