XAAB Hosts Celebrates Alma Mater's Jubilee Year

Xavier's Alumni Association of Bettiah (XAAB) Hosts Grand Painting Competition to Celebrate Alma Mater's Jubilee Year


Bettiah, August 19, 2023 – Xavier's Alumni Association of Bettiah (XAAB) proudly organized a vibrant painting competition on August 19th to commemorate the Jubilee Year of its esteemed alma mater, St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School. The event, which showcased the artistic prowess of young talents, witnessed an enthusiastic participation of approximately 1300 students spanning across grades 1 to 10.


Themed around diverse subjects that ranged from "National Flag" and "Garden Scenery" for the younger participants, to thought-provoking topics such as "Women Empowerment," "Gender Discrimination," and "Save Environment" for the senior students, the competition provided a platform for creative expression on crucial societal matters.


The excitement among the students was palpable, particularly among the primary section, where nearly 900 young artists eagerly participated. President of XAAB Mr. Ashish Sharma, emphasized the significance of the association's establishment on November 14, 2021, as a testament to the enduring spirit of the school and the exceptional individuals it has nurtured over the years. He highlighted the competition as an opportunity to strengthen th

e bond between students and alumni members.


The event witnessed the gracious presence of Mr. Naveen Uttapal, Vice President, and Mrs. Pooja Singhania, Coordinating Incharge, who personally extended their heartfelt appreciation and congratulations to all the participating students. Mr. Leslie Victor(Vice President), encouraged the students to actively engage in upcoming XAAB events.

The seamless execution of the competition was made possible through the tireless efforts of Mr. Rakesh Kumar (Secretary), Mr. Rajeev Sikaria (Asst Secretary )and Mr. Karunesh Upadhyay (Treasurer), who meticulously organized the arrangements. XAAB members expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Fr. Edison Armstrong S.J (Principal of St Xavier’s Higher Secondary School and Moderator of XAAB), Fr. Joseph Maripurram S.J (Rector), and Mr. Raymond Remy (Vice-Principal) for their generous support by providing the venue and unwavering backing.


Even the dedicated teachers played an instrumental role, offering their invaluable assistance to ensure the success of the event. The event undoubtedly reflected the spirit of collaboration and the dedication of everyone involved.
