The Jesuit Alumni Associations of Bombay Province (JAAB) Inter-Jesuit Alumni Football League was held on 15th August 2017 at St. Stanislaus High School, Bandra in Mumbai. What started off as a football match between alumni from St. Stanislaus and St Marys ICSE every Independence day has now grown into a 12 team league with teams from across the Bombay Province participating. The host St. Stanislaus Ex-students Association efficiently organized the league and the lunch that followed.

Alumni joined the students of St. Stanislaus High School, Bandra at 7.30am to raise and salute our National Flag on the school background.

APX ( Association of Past Xavierites , St Xavier's High School Loyola Ahmedabad )  members gathered in large numbers for the Flag Hoisting on the school grounds , staff, students parents and management were also present to celebrate the Independence Day.

The annual  football match between APX and the School team was played after the Flag Hoisting and Patriotic Song competition, the APX players turned back the clock and won the match. The teams enjoyed the refreshments and this was an apt way to bond and unite on Independence Day.

The World Union of Jesuit Alumni/ae (WUJA) brings together former students of Jesuit schools and universities in the entire world in order to build international relationships between these people, to contribute to the mission of the Society of Jesus and to promote the universal dynamic of Jesuit education.Every four years WUJA has its Congress where its alumni meet and network on topics linked with Jesuit values.

This year the Congress was hosted by North America and was held at John Carroll University, Cleveland, Ohio, USA between June 28-July 2, 2017. The theme of the Congress was “Uniting Our Jesuit Frontiers: To Know God, To Love God, To Serve God.”

The Anand Xavier's Alumni Association was formed in Anand, Gujarat Province , on Sunday 5th March 2017 , amidst a large attendance which included past Jesuit Principals, past PCA Fr Durai ( PCE now ) , JAAG President Darshan Jhaveri, immediate Past JAAI President Shapath Shah, the manager Fr Jerry Sequeira SJ who was former Provincial , current Jesuit management , staff and over 300 alumni/ae.

The program started with a prayer, inputs and information was shared and conveyed by the experienced personnel and many alumni shared their experiences too. The program included making a blueprint for future events/plans, how to join hands and move ahead in JAAG, West Zone, JAAI and WUJA, and the management had made elaborate arrangements for lunch too for all present , an amazing and productive morning it was.

APX played their annual cricket match versus the alumni of HL college, a premier college in Ahmedabad, this being the 10 th match, each year this match is an important event in the calendars of both associations , revelry , participation and networking along with fun and food adds to the flavour.

APX also is supporting a 2 night program hosted on HL college grounds, yesterday we had a musical evening and today is a performance by stand up comedians . Along with the efforts in the social and education areas, APX participates in sports and entertainment programs and creates a base for making new members, establishing relations with other associations and networking .

The Association of Past Xavierites ( APX ) has had a busy weekend and is constantly supporting its alma St Xavier's Loyola Hall.

The St. Xavier's High School Loyola hall hosted its 82nd Sports Day on Sunday, 4th December 2016. The Association of Past Xavierites ( APX ) took past in the march past, cycle race, 100 meters dash and also gave away the medals and certificates. After the meet, the management and Principal ( also the ex officio APX Chairman and Gujarat Province Coordinator ) Fr Charles invited the APX members for refreshments with the staff and referees and this was also a bonding exercise between the collaborators of the institute. Incidentally Fr Charles is also the ex officio Chairman of JAAG and is a dynamic leader instrumental in making Gujarat Province a strong and united unit in JAAI and society at large, both he and Fr Durai ( imm past PCA ) are responsible for these activities and bonding across Jesuit institutes in Gujarat.

The Association of Past Xavierites ( APX ) , organised the garba at the St Xavier's High School Loyola Hall on Saturday, 1 Oct 2016.

The 10000 plus crowd included students , staff, alumni/ae, management, fiends and guests. The revelry began at 7 pm with the students taking part in competitions and then from 8.30 pm it was open to all revellers.

This is a huge event where APX takes care of all financial arrangements, the students are given free entry as also the staff and each member is also given 2 free passes, an apt way to celebrate Navratri/Durga Pooja, and also kudos to the management for supporting and celebrating all festivals on the campus.

Many Gujarat Province associations have planned such programs and a JAAG meeting is also scheduled on Dasshera day in Surat followed by the traditional Garba. Wishing all a happy and peaceful Navratri/ Durga Pooja.

St Vincent's high school will be celebrating it's sesquecentennial year from 27th September 2016 to December  2017

We the art committee are moving a step forward to encourage the students towards art through activities. Art is a form of expression blending inner talent with nature around . To celebrate this glorious event we are doing wall painting, jute bags painting, warli painting on wall,ceramic pots and canvas painting. To inculcate the passion for art we will be conducting an art workshop for those skilled and interested students. An art exhibition cum sale will be held on 8th 9th 10th December 2016 to culminate all the passionate work done to showcase them to the Vincentian family.
